Golf Course Equipment Operator

Essential Functions:

 Operate special equipment to maintain the golf course following manufacturer’s recommendations for each piece of equipment for safety operation.

• Operates equipment safely and reports any unsafe conditions or practice to the supervisor
• Responsible for, but not limited to, walk mowing greens, bunker maintenance, hand raking, edging, sprinkler cleaning, valve box cleaning, ball mark repair, divot filling and all associated practices to maintain the golf course in optimum condition.
• Inspect areas and remove any debris, rocks, etc.
• Inform any damages or unusual situations to the supervisor such as dry spots, leaks, vandalism, mole cricket/insect activity, weeds infestation, etc.
• Dispose clippings in designated areas
• Inspect equipment for tire pressure, safety switches and any hydraulic leaks before each use
• Refills fuel daily
• Clean equipment daily and keep in good condition at all times
• Park equipment in designated locations
• Inspect all equipment prior to use and reports any deficiencies to the supervisor.
• Pick up trash around the golf course and grounds
• Remove and replace tee markers appropriately while mowing
• Responsible to follow safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment as directed at all times
• Perform other duties as directed.

Knowledge and Skills:

 Education: Highschool Education preferred 

 Experience: Must have a valid driver’s license

     Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of tractors and other motorized equipment
• Demonstrated quality interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
