General Summary
The Laborer / Truck Driver will perform tasks involving physical labor and operate various trucks and equipment on environmental remediation and construction projects. This position requires versatility in both manual labor and truck operation, including hauling materials, site preparation, excavation, and equipment maintenance. The role demands strict adherence to safety procedures and the ability to work in outdoor and hazardous environments.
Essential Duties
- Operate multiple types of trucks (e.g., articulating dump trucks, water trucks) in off-road conditions.
- Perform manual labor including site preparation, excavation, material handling, and debris removal.
- Use hand and power tools safely, including small equipment for clearing and grading.
- Load and unload materials, transport equipment, and assist in hazardous material cleanup.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on trucks and equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and report issues to the Foreman, Safety Director, or HR Manager.
- Assist with traffic control and flagging as required.
- Work with environmental chemists and heavy equipment operators when needed.
Requirements
40-hour OSHA Hazardous Waste Worker training (provided if needed, with passing required).
