Sales Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them with their purchasing decisions. You will play a key role in maintaining the store's appearance, managing inventory, and contributing to the overall success of our retail operations.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively communicate with customers.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and processing of payments.
• Stock shelves and organize merchandise to create an inviting shopping environment.
• Utilize retail math skills to assist customers with pricing inquiries and product availability.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.

Skills

• Strong retail sales skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Proficiency in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Experience with POS systems is preferred.
• Ability to effectively upsell products and services while maintaining a positive customer experience.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
• Supervisory skills are beneficial for leading team members during shifts.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail in maintaining store standards.
