Responsibilities - Automotive Technician:
- Quickly and efficiently perform routine maintenance and service, identify the cause of defects, and troubleshoot and repair them using the most optimal solutions and efficiency
- Conferring with customers or service advisors to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems and discussing work to be performed
- Assist technicians with their skills, provide technical support when needed, and monitor performance and productivity
- Make sure to completely notate repairs and concerns through ADP/CDK
- Test and adjust required systems to meet manufacturers' performance specifications
- Ensure that the shop is in excellent condition in regard to cleanliness, safety, and equipment condition, and conduct periodic spot checks to maintain high-quality service
- Test-drive vehicles; testing components and systems; using equipment such as infrared engine analyzer, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices
Qualifications - Automotive Technician:
Previous experience as an Automotive Service Technician required- ASE Certified, Master Certified, and/or Nissan Certified is preferred
- Ohio State Vehicle Inspection qualified is a plus!
- Be prepared to work extended hours when necessary to achieve goals.
- Must hold a valid driver's license.
- Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Computer skills
- Must supply own tools (special/job-specific tools and equipment provided by dealership)
