Laser Set-Up Operator

We are a small sheet metal fabrication company producing precision custom parts. Our company is under new management and we are seeking a new team member for our production team. The ideal candidate will have fabrication experience and be flexible to work in various departments to support production needs.

Duties

· Set up and operate the CNC Laser. Adjust settings on laser as needed

· Set up NC Punch is a plus

· Perform material handling functions, load materials

· Measure parts for accuracy and complete additional processing

· Follow production schedule

· Support engineering with prototype parts

· Maintain machines including ordering consumables through production manager

· Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines. Minimize and report safety hazards

· Maintain a clean and organized work area

· Troubleshoot issues that arise during the production process

· Collaborate with management to resolve problems

· Maintain accurate records of production output and machine settings

· Contribute to and support continuous improvement

· Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

· Background in sheet metal fabrication

· Forklift experience is a plus

· Must be able to read and interpret blue prints/drawings

· Good communication skills

· Collaborative team-player

Experience and Qualifications

· High School/GED

· Technical or vocational training in metal fabrication

Physical Demands

· Ability to lift/move 35 lbs

· Performing the duties of this job requires regularly standing and lifting

Pay: $19-25/hour

Job Type: Full Time, in-person

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm
