Optical Sales Associate

Kenai Vision Center is seeking a full-time Optical Sales Associate to join our team in Kenai, AK. As an Optical Sales Associate, you will assist patients in selecting eyewear that fits their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style. You will provide expert product knowledge, guide frame and lens selection, and ensure every patient leaves confident in their purchase and experience.

• Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Greet patients and assist them with eyewear selection in a professional, friendly, and knowledgeable manner.
• Recommend frames and lenses based on prescription, style preferences, and lifestyle needs.
• Educate patients on lens options including anti-reflective coatings, blue light protection, progressives, transitions, and specialty lenses.
• Accurately take optical measurements and ensure proper frame adjustments and fittings.
• Process eyewear orders and maintain accurate patient records using practice management software.
• Maintain frame inventory, merchandise displays, and showroom cleanliness.
• Assist with insurance verification and billing related to optical sales.
• Collaborate with the optometrist and team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Provide follow-up support for eyewear pick-up, adjustments, and repairs.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• 2 years of experience in sales preferred.
• Experience working in an optical office preferred.
• Knowledge of optical frames and lens options is a plus.
• Previous retail sales experience.
• Ability to provide enthusiastic and concise communication to meet/exceed patient expectations.
• Basic computer skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
