Job Summary
The Kenaitze Indian Tribe seeks a skilled Registered Dietitian to provide medical nutrition therapy services to its un'ina members. As a key member of the health team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply evidence-based nutrition management practices to support the health and well-being of our community.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and integrated care teams to identify nutritional needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Provide education and counseling on nutrition and lifestyle modification to patients, families, and staff.
- Develop procedures and resources to ensure safe food handling during field trips and outreach events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field from an accredited institution.
- Completed supervised practice program at a healthcare facility or community agency.
- Three years of experience as a Registered Dietitian with a strong background in medical nutrition therapy.
- Licensed Dietitian (LD) by the State of Alaska and Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Certified Food Protection Manager certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Grant project coordination and budgeting experience.
- Knowledge and experience working with culturally diverse communities.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
