What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Vehicle Maintenance Specialist position at Kenan Advantage Group?
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Kenan Advantage Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of Class 5 through Class 8 commercial vehicles.
Your responsibilities will include performing general property and vehicle maintenance & repair duties in and around the shop operations in a fast-paced environment. You will also assist other technicians in performing preventive/repair of facilities and equipment, including trucks, tractors, and trailers.
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of basic preventative maintenance and repair techniques, including tank trailer inspection and maintenance related to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
You will also be responsible for maintaining work order and vehicle maintenance records, conducting all levels of preventive maintenance functions, such as regular servicing of vehicles including oil changes, and equipment inspections.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance & repair, be certified as a (DOT) commercial motor vehicle inspector in compliance with FMCSRs, and possess basic computer knowledge.
