As a Diesel Mechanic at Kenan Advantage Group, you will be an integral part of our maintenance team. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet of Class 5 through Class 8 commercial vehicles operates safely and efficiently. You will perform general property and vehicle maintenance & repair duties in and around the shop operations in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for a skilled technician with knowledge and understanding of basic preventative maintenance and repair techniques. This includes tank trailer inspection and maintenance related to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
In this role, you will assist other technicians in performing preventive/repair of facilities and equipment, including trucks, tractors, and trailers. You will also maintain work order and vehicle maintenance records, conduct all levels of preventive maintenance functions, such as regular servicing of vehicles including oil changes, and equipment inspections.
You will also have the opportunity to learn and become proficient utilizing our company's maintenance software program to create and complete work orders. Additionally, you will assist in physical parts inventory, receiving, and proper charge out of parts to work orders.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance & repair, be certified as a (DOT) commercial motor vehicle inspector in compliance with FMCSRs, and possess basic computer knowledge. We offer a competitive salary, guaranteed pay increases with completion of training programs and verified prior experience, $250 semi-annual tool allowance after one year of service, benefits available, paid vacation and holidays.
