THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Design & Visual Communications Manager, the Marketing & Design Coordinator collaborates with Client Engagement & Partnerships (Marketing and Sales) within UNC Executive Development. This role oversees creating and managing proposals, enablement materials, and collateral, ensuring they are visually appealing and adhere to brand guidelines. This role oversees the organization, storage, and retrieval of assets in the digital asset management system, ensuring efficient access and management of multimedia content across the organization. The Coordinator collaborates with various teams to gather necessary content and integrate it seamlessly into the materials. The Marketing & Design Coordinator also manages timelines and deadlines to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality final materials.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and Development:
- Design and format compelling B2B discussion decks, proposals, and RFP responses that effectively convey our solutions and value proposition.
- Create high-quality, visually appealing sales enablement materials, including presentations, brochures, white papers, case studies, and materials to support the conferences and events strategy.
- Develop templates and design standards to ensure consistency and brand alignment across all sales and proposal materials.
- Ensure messaging consistency and alignment across sales enablement materials.
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the Digital Asset Management System.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with Marketing & Communications, Client Engagement & Partnerships, Program Directors, and the Senior Leadership Team to understand their needs and provide support. Participate in strategy sessions to brainstorm and develop innovative design solutions.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex information into clear, engaging visual content and demonstrate the content/subject matter expertise across the organization.
Project Management:
- Manage the end-to-end process of design projects for sales enablement and proposal materials, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Create and maintain project timelines, setting clear milestones and deadlines.
- Other tasks as assigned such as processing vendor invoices.
Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, timelines, and any potential issues.
- Facilitate project meetings, including kick-offs, progress check-ins, and post-project debriefs.
Quality Assurance:
- Review and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of all design outputs.
- Implement feedback loops and revisions to refine and improve design deliverables based on stakeholder input.
- Apply best practices regarding user experience and on-screen visual communications.
Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including briefs, timelines, feedback, and final deliverables.
- Prepare and present project status reports to leadership and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and any areas of concern.
- Evaluate Digital Asset Management System data to support future sales enablement collateral innovations and decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, sales enablement, and/or similar or equivalent experience.
- A portfolio is required as part of the minimum qualifications.
- Expertise using Adobe Creative Cloud applications and O365 products, with an emphasis on PowerPoint and project management software, is required.
- Experience using CRM technologies such as Salesforce and Pardot is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with marketing teams on sales, marketing, and demand generation is strongly preferred.
The successful candidate will be creative, forward-thinking, and goal-oriented, demonstrating a willingness to innovate and be part of a high-functioning team. The individual will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a strong attention to detail and professional presence. The Marketing & Design Coordinator will demonstrate curiosity and stay updated with industry trends, design tools, and best practices. This position will conduct competitor analysis and market research to ensure proposals and sales enablement materials stand out in the market.
The Marketing & Design Coordinator is a full-time, hybrid position with some potential for overtime. Remote work is subject to supervisor approval and office-specific task completion. Candidates must be based within reasonable commuting distance of our Chapel Hill offices. Travel up to 10% may be required.
The hiring range for this position is $48,000–55,000 annually dependent on level of experience. This role is also eligible to participate in a group and individual performance-based incentive compensation plan.
The Marketing & Design Coordinator is a non-exempt employee of the Kenan-Flagler Business School Executive Education, LLC, an affiliated organization of UNC-Chapel Hill. This position is not a University of North Carolina or State of North Carolina position.
