What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Shift Cycle Counter position at Kenco/Blue Buffalo?
About the Position
The Cycle Counter conducts scheduled cycle counts in a distribution center. This position is responsible for reporting physical inventory, and system audits and for utilizing the inventory management system to prepare and track materials and products in preparation for shipping and receiving demands to meet customer needs.
Functions
- Perform daily scheduled cycle count activities via an RF gun.
- Perform inventory audits as needed. Track and monitor all damaged product in inventory; provide necessary results to leadership.
- Verify clerical inventory records against physical inventory counts and reports discrepancies.
- Support special rework or inspection projects
- Relocate expired product out of Pick Front locations
- Conduct other various product audits as directed by the leadership team and report back findings.
Qualifications
- High School or GED required; associate degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. Based on the site, industry specific (i.e. food grade) experience may be required.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
