About the Position
The Dedicated Account Manager acts as a front-line liaison between Kenco and the assigned customer. The role will manage the customer relationship and is responsible for identifying value added services and business opportunities within individual business units which match the customer’s strategic plans. This assignment will be responsible for, but not limited to, supporting and performing project related activities within the customer’s network. Dedicated Account Managers adhere to our disciplined approach to planning, organizing, motivating, and controlling resources to achieve specific goals within the network. This individual will also collaborate with customer and Kenco Leadership groups to identify scope, assess risk, prioritize and eventually manage opportunities to deployment.
Functions
- Acts as a key account contact for customer personnel, while providing guidance and leadership based on their assigned business unit’s opportunities or needs.
- Supports a culture of Operational Excellence focused on Safety and Quality through Kenco’s Guiding Principles
- Supports key business initiatives for the assigned business unit, often partnering directly with the customer.
- Implements and guides continuous improvement efforts and cost reduction initiatives throughout the assigned area.
- Builds and develops strong relationships with the customer, employees and other Kenco entities through professional communication and presentations.
- Assumes various roles based on network requirements to support current operations or new opportunities.
- Provides input on assignment direction and focus; communicates directly with various levels of personnel both internally and externally.
- Communicates effectively and proactively with internal and external customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required or equivalent years of experience required. Equivalent years of experience is defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.
- Minimum of 2 - 4 years related experience and/or training in a distribution center, transportation or integrated logistics environment required.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
- Track record of demonstrated results in the areas of safety, continuous improvement, service, achieving key performance measurements, and effective customer/employee relationship skills.
- Ability to objectively evaluate all associates and operational functions within network and Corporate Shared Services.
- Detailed knowledge of financial planning, analysis tools, and execution required.
- Ability to perform and execute network optimization strategies.
- Highly proficient in the use of MS Office – Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Word.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet specific goals and deadlines.
- Experience using warehouse, inventory, financial, and transportation management systems preferred.
- Must have superior customer service skills.
- Ability to act as a change agent and drive improvement.
- Must possess strong analytical abilities, organizational skills, and communication skills.

Travel Requirements
- This position is expected to travel approximately 25% or less.
