What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Lead 1st Shift 8:00AM-4:30PM M-F position at Kenco Logistics Services, LLC?
- Train warehouse associates and forklift drivers in applicable procedures as needed or as scheduled.
- Conduct 6S audits, Gemba Walks, BBS Observation, Oh no Circle assessments.
- Participate and lead Continuous improvement projects
- Safely and efficiently operate powered industrial equipment such as stand ups or sit downs to move products or materials for distribution such as clamp/slip sheet equipment; load, unload, and store materials/products in designated areas.
- Maintain timely, accurate and detailed paperwork for daily tasks per standard operating procedures and applicable regulatory agencies (i.e. Quality Assurance.)
- Participate in inventory/cycle count activities as scheduled and report variances to leadership professionally through various types of communication (verbal, hard copy, email).
- Perform and audit your teams daily safety inspections such as the Safety Checklist on forklift trucks.
- Ensure facility is inspection ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
- Provide daily end of shift report to direct supervisor verbally as well as electronically.
- Review and analyze daily production reports at start and end of shift, communicate and delegate accordingly
- Ensure all quality procedures are executed and documented correctly by self and team
- Provide support to associates including peers and other departments as needed.
- Actively participate in programs relating to safety, quality, moral, production, cost, continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Other tasks as assigned by leadership, including weekend work as scheduled
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years prior Office 365 Software (Word/Excel/Teams/Outlook/Data entry)
- High School Diploma or GED preferred and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Minimum 4 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience and 2 years’ experience related leadership or supervisory experience in a distribution environment.
- Minimum 2 years prior experience with operating PITs including Stand Ups and Sit Downs
- Experienced in leading a committee and public speaking
