Position Overview : The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coaching and leading warehouse associates. This role involves training and supervising teammates to ensure they complete their daily tasks, alongside the Lead's own responsibilities. The Lead may have various duties depending on the specific department, which can include shipping and receiving, packaging, inventory control, general warehouse functions, or operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts). The Lead also serves as a backup to the supervisor as needed.
Available Shifts :
Day Shift : Monday through Friday, 5 : 00 AM to 2 : 30 PM
Night Shift : Monday through Friday, 3 : 00 PM to 1 : 30 AM
Weekend Shift : Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6 : 00 AM to 6 : 30 PM
Key Responsibilities :
Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers, and conduct Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and annual recertification training.
Conduct EIP, performance, and maintenance observations.
Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products or materials for distribution, including clamp / slip sheet equipment; load, unload, and store materials / products in designated areas.
Complete applicable paperwork (e.g., shipping / tracking labels) per standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements (e.g., DOT, IATA, IMDG).
Participate in inventory and cycle count activities as needed, and report variances to leadership.
Perform daily safety inspections per the Safety Checklist on forklift trucks.
Ensure the facility is inspection-ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer requirements.
Communicate and report any incidents to the supervisor.
Ensure product rotation procedures are followed.
Review and analyze daily production reports.
Serve as backup to other warehouse roles as needed.
Perform additional duties as required by the specific department.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED preferred; must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Minimum of 2 years prior warehouse / distribution operations experience and 6 months related leadership or supervisory experience and / or training in a distribution environment.
Must be a licensed forklift operator or able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.
