Position Overview : The Traffic Clerk is responsible for maintaining the traffic flow of trailers in and out of the facility. This role involves completing gate passes and yard checks, as well as performing various administrative duties.
Available Shifts :
Day Shift : Monday through Friday, 5 : 00 AM to 2 : 30 PM
Night Shift : Monday through Friday, 3 : 00 PM to 1 : 30 AM
Weekend Shift : Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6 : 00 AM to 6 : 30 PM
Key Responsibilities :
Perform trailer check-ins and check-outs at the distribution or warehouse facility.
Maintain the flow of trailers and traffic for both inbound and outbound operations.
Communicate facility and yard rules to incoming drivers.
Complete inbound and outbound gate passes and yard checks.
Assign outbound trailers as identified within WMS reporting.
Coordinate communications for transloads, returns, live loads, broken seals, etc.
Work with the yard service team to perform proper yard checks and reconciliation.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications :
Minimum of one year of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic computer skills, including typing, accurate data entry, and multi-tasking abilities.
Ability to perform simple math calculations.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with associates and / or customers.
Attention to detail.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.
