Position Summary
The Martin Wheel division is a growing manufacturer and importer of tires and wheel assemblies for Lawn and Garden, Agricultural, Industrial, and Trailer applications. Our products are sold to equipment manufacturers as well as through various aftermarket and e-commerce channels. The Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment, building systems (HVAC), and facilities.
The Purchasing Buyer Planner is responsible for managing MRO and indirect material purchasing including domestic and international procurement. This position will work cross-functionally with operations to ensure that plant goods and services are ordered to support uninterrupted production and benchmark supplier and product categories across divisions to develop best-in-class supply chain practices and leverage corporate volume to optimize spend.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field is required
- 1 – 3 years of experience in Purchasing is required
- Develop and implement cost saving strategies
- React to customer order and forecasted demand changes and maintain system due dates and planning parameters
- Process purchase order requests to meet material demands for the location
- Initiate and maintain documentation as dictated by standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Identify and Select appropriate supplier to meet cost and delivery targets
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with critical suppliers
- Manage purchased inventory supply for assigned direct materials using MRP to determine order quantities & delivery schedules
- Reschedule orders and deliveries as needed to both minimize excess material and ensure continuity of supply
- Establish and maintain lot sizes to leverage supplier economic order quantities and optimize space utilization
- Review and provide input to forecasted usage
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Research and obtain corrective action plans for supplier quality issues
- Contribute to operational excellence by meeting departmental and company KPI’s
- Actively participate in yearly Physical Inventory
- Perform other duties as assigned
