Position: Full-Time Facilities & Maintenance Generalist
Pay: $21/hr.
Schedule: 7 AM – 3:30 PM, with occasional weekends and on-call availability.
Position Summary:
As a Facilities & Maintenance Generalist, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our beautiful campus. This dynamic position requires versatility, collaboration, and a willingness to perform tasks across various trades and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance work across disciplines: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, groundskeeping, painting, security, and more.
- Perform outdoor tasks such as landscaping, snow removal, and campus beautification in all weather conditions.
- Manage and document work orders accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with preventative maintenance, special projects, and moving tasks (furniture, equipment, event setup).
- Ensure safety through proper use of protective equipment and safety measures.
- Maintain and repair vehicles and equipment as needed.
- Respond to emergencies, staff absences, and special events when required.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Virginia driver’s license with a clean record and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge or experience in trades such as painting, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and plumbing (journeyman level or higher preferred).
- Ability to read and follow instructions, operate maintenance equipment and tools, and use power tools safely.
