What are the responsibilities and job description for the Life Enrichment Assistant position at Kendal-Crosslands Communities?
Essential Function:
- Meets residents’ needs and goals utilizing a person center care planning process.
- Evaluates, documents and provides person centered programming by completing necessary and required documentation.
- Promotes resident independence.
- Displays a working knowledge of leadership in dealing with groups and individuals.
- Assists the Department Director in the planning and implementing of all aspects of the Life Enrichment Program.
- Demonstrates high energy by actively participating in programming.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or minimum of one year experience in therapeutic recreation required.
- Must demonstrate the ability to interact with residents who are cognitively and/or physically impaired.
- Must be willing and capable of obtaining Nursing Assistant licensure.
- Certification as an Activity Assistant from the National Certificated Council of Activity Professionals (AAC), Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Dance Movement Therapy or other Creative Arts Therapy a plus or willingness to obtain.
- Must satisfy PA Child Abuse History Clearance. Must be insurable by KCC vehicle insurance.

40 hours per week, includes some weekends and evenings.
