Driver Class C

Job Summary the truck driver is responsible for driving tractor trailers and/ or straight trucks on local routes to deliver floral products to customers’ locations. All routes are expected to be completed safely in accordance with all Company policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
• Perform all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Immediately report any and all safety hazards including repairs required.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
• Ensure all required route paperwork is with tractor trailer load and available to driver upon dispatch.
• Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times.
• Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures.
• Ensure all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured at all times.
• Unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
• Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have valid Class C or B Driver License.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years issued within the last 30 days.
• Minimum of 2 years truck driving experience (any industry) with the safe operation of 26 feet Boxed trucks.
• Pass per-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 60 lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.

• Able to work around major floral holidays.
• Ability to work any day of the week including weekends.
• Able to start as early as 1:00 am.
