Kendal at Oberlin is a full-service life plan community, which primarily serves older adults in the Quaker tradition. Equally important, residents enjoy an independent, enriching living experience.
Kendal at Oberlin's Dining Services team currently has a full time opening for the dual role of AM Cook / Wait Staff. Reporting to our Executive Chef, this team member will have the responsibility to work as short order for breakfast, charge transactions having direct interaction with residents and staff, sets-up lunch and works as grill cook. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare food, distribution and clean-up of breakfast, lunch and Sunday brunch meals.
- Sanitation of food prep areas, dish room and storage areas.
- Assist in other areas as needed.
- Operating all food service equipment and train other employees in the safe operation of same.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Kitchen experience preferred, but will train.
- Must be flexible as times may vary, may be required to work weekends and will be on holiday rotation.
- Must report to work in clean and presentable manor.
- Reads and writes in English with skilled ability to work effectively and pleasantly with co-workers and managers.
