Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to oversee our dietary services at Kendal at Lexington. The CDM will be responsible for managing the dietary department, ensuring that nutritious, appetizing meals are prepared and served in accordance with the needs of our residents. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional service and maintaining high standards of quality and safety in our food programs.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the dietary department, including planning and coordinating meals for residents, ensuring dietary requirements are met for various health conditions.

Supervise all dietary staff.

Ensure that all meals meet dietary guidelines, nutritional standards, and any special needs requested by residents.

Maintain accurate documentation related to food service, including meal plans, special diets, and inventory control.

Monitor and evaluate food quality and presentation, ensuring that meals are nutritious, appealing, and served in a timely manner.

Oversee and enforce safety and sanitation procedures in food preparation and dining areas, adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirements.

Collaborate with other departments, including healthcare teams, to address individual dietary needs and preferences.

Assist with budget management and cost control in the dietary department, maintaining financial efficiency.

Provide training and education to dietary staff on proper food handling, customer service, and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Dietary Manager (CDM) is required.
- SERV Safe Certification is required.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in dietary management, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.

Strong knowledge of nutrition, food service operations, and regulatory compliance.
