Full-time, Exempt, Rate of pay is $90,000 to $100,000 per year, based on education and experience. In this role you will lead our culinary operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals to our residents while embracing our core values of Care, Trust, and Respect. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for managing culinary staff, optimizing operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and creating an engaging and inclusive dining environment. You will oversee daily culinary operations, including menu development, meal preparation, and service excellence. Additionally, you will provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development for culinary management and staff, as well as manage departmental budgets, expenses, and cost-control initiatives. Engaging with residents to enhance their dining experience, incorporating their feedback and preferences, and collaborating with Health Services, Facilities, and Resident Services for the seamless integration of culinary services will also be key aspects of the role. You will represent Kendal at Ithaca in external professional organizations and community events. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, or a related field (preferred), along with 5 years of culinary services management experience in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are required, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and industry-specific software, such as MEEZ Menus and POS systems. A ServSafe Certification and a valid NYS Driver’s License are also necessary.
