Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Registered Dietitian to provide expert nutritional guidance and support to our residents. This hybrid role offers flexibility with both on-site and remote responsibilities, allowing you to balance resident interaction with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting healthy living and will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through individualized dietary planning and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate residents’ nutritional needs and develop personalized meal plans.
- Provide one-on-one dietary counseling and group education sessions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to integrate dietary plans with overall care strategies.
- Monitor and track residents’ progress, adjusting dietary plans as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest research and trends in nutrition and incorporate best practices into resident care.
- Develop and implement nutrition-related programs and initiatives to promote healthy living within the community.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and dietary guidelines.
- Provide training and support to kitchen and food service staff on dietary needs and nutrition-related topics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dietitian, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition science, dietary guidelines, and food service management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic health records preferred.
