Job Description:
Kendal at Lexington, a premier life plan community, is seeking dedicated and compassionate LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurses) and RNs (Registered Nurses) to join our team on a PRN basis. This role requires flexibility and commitment to provide exceptional care to our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care in line with individualized care plans and facility standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess residents’ health conditions, reporting changes to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Accurately document patient interactions, care provided, and any incidents.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents.
- Respond to emergencies promptly and effectively.
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety in all practices.
Requirements:
- Current, valid LPN or RN license in the state of Virginia.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a nursing role, preferably in senior living or long-term care.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of nursing practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to picking up at least 2 shifts per month.
Compensation:
- LPN Pay Rate: $31.20 - $35.36 per hour
- RN Pay Rate: $41.60 - $44.72 per hour
- Shift Differentials: $2.00 per hour for evening shifts; $1.00 per hour for night shifts.
