What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Mechanic : Missouri position at Kendall Vegetation Services?
Our Heavy Equipment Mobile Mechanic / Road Tech performs general maintenance and mechanical work on the company's equipment fleet in the field.
Specific duties include :
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on equipment including gas and diesel, medium and heavy-duty trucks including Aerial Lift Trucks, Hydraulic Lifts, Chip Trucks, Mechanical Trimmer, Tractors, Chippers, and small engine equipment including but not limited to Stump Grinders, Chainsaws, and Blowers
- Diagnose issues and make all necessary repairs to include the replacement of worn or damaged parts
- Provide regular servicing of heavy equipment to include using jacks, cranes, and various hand-held tools to dismantle and reassemble parts
- Inspect, remove, and install engines, transmissions, axles, and transfer cases
- Examine critical parts and operating components of heavy equipment for possible wear and tear, defects, or other damage with use of specialized tools and own knowledge and expertise
- Test equipment and machines on a regular schedule to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely
- Maintain and document routine maintenance checks and required inspections including DOT
- All other duties as assigned
Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years' of relevant experience and have familiarity with diesel engines, hydraulics, and off-road equipment. A CDL is preferred along with ASE and other applicable certifications.
