Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant/Analyst to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant/Analyst will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting activities, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with all accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of delivering accurate financial reports and accompanying analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Develop and maintain annual budget and rolling forecast models, ensuring alignment with operational and financial goals. Regularly track and assess project performance and communicate results effectively to key stakeholders, including senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and recommend changes to accounting policies and procedures as needed
- Coordinate and communicate with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process
- Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff
- Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles
- Construction accounting experience preferable
- Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous, hands-on approach to all aspects of financial analysis, ensuring accuracy in forecasting, reporting, and modeling Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: A self-starter who is comfortable navigating ambiguity and building financial frameworks from the ground up. Ability to drive change and champion process improvements.

Salary Range: $85,000-$100,000 DOE
