Clerk Typist FT - Franklin Elementary School

Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week) - 10 Month Duty Schedule

IF APPOINTED PROVISIONALLY, THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST BE QUALIFIED TO TAKE THE CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION WHEN MADE AVAILABLE. FOR PERMANENT APPOINTMENT, THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HOLD THE TITLE OF CLERK TYPIST OR MUST BE CANVASSED AND REACHABLE FROM THE EXISTING CIVIL SERVICE LIST.

Job Duties: Assist in a very busy office setting in a professional and efficient manner when interacting with students, parents and staff. Duties include processing student attendance; answering phones; data entry; providing support to students, staff and families; processing records requests and any other duties as assigned by an administrator.

Special Qualifications: Must have computer knowledge (Microsoft Office and Google Suites); proficiency in Infinite Campus or other student management systems a plus; must possess strong communication skills and a willingness to be a part of a large, multi-functional team; ability to relate well with people and have excellent customer service skills including a welcoming demeanor; must be able to multitask, must be detail oriented and highly organized; must be confidential and a team player.
