Kennebec Behavioral Health, established in 1960 to provide comprehensive behavioral health services and named one of the Best Places to Work in Maine for the last 4 consecutive years, is seeking highly motivated, compassionate and energetic individuals to provide support and clinical residential care to adults staying in our short-term Crisis Stabilization Units in Augusta and Waterville. The job will be supporting those who are affected by the symptoms of mental illness, traumatic life event or have personal safety concerns. Staff will help clients develop new coping skills and daily living skills that allow them to return to their home and community. This position works collaboratively with all members of the crisis team.
Flexibility to travel between Crisis Stabilization Units is required. Since the stabilization units operate 24 hours a day/7 day a week, flexibility is also required for shifts, weekend and/or holiday work. Shifts are Day (8 AM to 4 PM), Evening (4PM to 12 AM) and Overnight (12 AM to 8 AM). Shift differentials will be added to the base pay rate of $19. This is a full-time (40 hours) position, but part-time applicants are also accepted. Come to the KBH family to make a difference in the lives of Maine adults and children!
Qualifications: MHRT/1 certification is necessary or to be eligible for provisional certification. Kennebec Behavioral Health is willing to provide training the right, highly motivated candidate. Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance are required. Preferred experience includes prior work in a residential setting, working with individuals and groups in a multi-disciplinary team. Candidates with strong de-escalation skills and rapport building skills are encouraged to apply.
