Kennebec Behavioral Health, established in 1960 and named one of the Best Places to Work in Maine for the last 4 consecutive years, is currently seeking a motivated Technical Support Specialist to join our IT Department in Waterville. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operation of our Help Desk, supporting staff encountering computer-related issues. You will troubleshoot software and hardware problems, providing clear and effective communication to users with varying levels of technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve software/hardware issues for staff members.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to staff at all levels of computer proficiency.
- Conduct new hire IT training, including basic orientation, user account setup, and equipment configuration and deployment.
- Support users through Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, phone systems, and other software installations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or an Associate’s degree in a computer-related field with at least 2 years of computer support experience (Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis).
- Solid knowledge of Windows 10 and 11, network protocols, and computer hardware and peripherals.
- Experience with Windows server technology and telecommunications systems is preferred.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
