This position is full-time, Monday through Friday; 8am to 5pm and is located in Augusta.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Registration Representative to join our Revenue Cycle Team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing financial clearance, registration, and other clerical duties.
Responsibilities Include:
- Communicating with intake department, clinical staff, and other appropriate personnel to exchange necessary information.
- Verifying insurance benefits and obtaining precertification/authorization while ensuring verification of medical necessity as necessary in addition to determining and accepting required payments, including co-pays deductibles, and coinsurance, or referring customer to financial counselors for follow up.
- Ensuring that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with accuracy.
- Scheduling patients for upcoming set ups and CPAP mask refits as needed.
- Meeting (in person or virtually) with patient or patient's caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation in addition to providing clear explanation of processes and addresses concerns and questions.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Minimum 1 year of patient registration, scheduling, or clerical customer service experience in a medical setting is preferred.
