This is a per diem position based in Augusta with travel required to Central and Southern Maine areas.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist who will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CPAP/BiPAP machines, mask fittings, and education for patient clients. This role requires expertise in operating respiratory equipment, along with a strong focus on patient care, compliance, and teamwork.
Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure therapy aligns with physician orders and consult with physicians as needed for optimal patient care.
- Maintain electronic medical records for accurate documentation.
- Interpret physician diagnoses to fit PAP patients with appropriate masks.
- Troubleshoot and adjust respiratory equipment for optimal results.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree from an AMA-approved respiratory care training program
- Certified/Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and licensed as RRT or CRT in the State of Maine
- Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in home care or a hospital setting
