Job Title: Teacher Aide
Kennebec Valley Community Action Program is seeking a part-time, school-year Teacher Aide to work with children ages 3-5 in the After Care program at Canaan Preschool.
Responsibilities:
- Support children's developmental progress and school readiness within a team environment.
- Assist with child assessment and individualize instruction for diverse learners.
Requirements:
Experience and Skills:
- Experience working in group care settings with young children ages 3-5.
- Ability to meet agency and State Child Care Licensing regulations for background checks and physical exams.
- Interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and documentation skills, as well as basic computer skills.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED; or equivalent education for Early Head Start primary caregiving responsibilities.
