Scope of Work:
Under the general guidance of the Residential & Consumer Lending Manager and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the incumbent promotes the financial institution and ensures a seamless and positive experience for its customers through the entirety of the mortgage loan process. They will be a relationship builder with a strong commitment to customer service and a passion for contributing to a collaborative, positive and supportive team culture.
Essential Functions (3):
Residential Lending Customer Experience (CX)
Provides exceptional customer service throughout every interaction with prospective and existing customers by responding promptly to inquiries and providing clear, accurate, transparent and timely communications.
Develops and maintains strong relationships with customers beyond the loan closing
Guides the customer through the application process, including gathering necessary documentation, explaining loan options, and ensuring compliance with associated policies and regulatory guidelines
Collaborates with underwriters, processors, and other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient loan process
A commitment to continuous learning by staying informed of local and industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the customer is provided with the most accurate and up to date information
Manages a pipeline of loan applications ensuring timely processing and communication with all stakeholders by proactively following up on incomplete applications, missing documentation, or other necessary customer communications
Lending and Referral Production
Achieves residential loan origination goals based on internal goals and external market trends
Achieves established referral goals for Kennebunk Savings Insurance, Retail and Commercial Lending
Community Involvement:
Develops and regularly connects with critical centers of influence in the market including real estate related professionals (brokers, builders, financial planners, attorneys, etc.), customers and prospects.
Participates in various broker related events/caravans and activities such as those sponsored by Association of Realtors, Chamber, Business After Hours, etc.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
Will involve some night and weekend hours
Works collaboratively with the RLO Team to ensure the entire KSB market is served effectively
Maintains a close working relationship with loan processors and underwriters
Promotes the Kennebunk Savings Brand by recommending our products and services, supporting our community focus & commitment to being a premier employer, while delivering exceptional customer experience
Be a product expert for all KSB offered products to ensure delivery of appropriate client solutions
Understands, supports and adheres to applicable organizational policies/procedures and state/federal regulations
Consistently emphasizes the importance of teamwork in the department and company at large
Responsible for keeping abreast of company news and information
Responsible for completing required training and policy review and complying with all appropriate regulations.
May serve on various committees
Willingness to take on additional tasks and duties
Certifications & Licenses Required:
All incumbents are required to successfully register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, obtain a unique identifier and maintain this registration
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of MSHA, VA, FHA, Rural Development and secondary market (FHLMC) requirements including qualification guidelines and minimum property standards
Displays high level of regard for trust and confidentiality
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and Encompass or other Mortgage Loan Operating Systems.
Displays strong written and verbal communication skills
Displays strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task to meet established deadlines
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Effectively uses analytical skills to solve technical, as well as, non-technical problems
Prior knowledge of regulations within the financial services industry is preferred
Ability to adapt to change
Desired Job Experience:
3 years of sales experience in residential lending origination environment
Experience in a professional, service focused and fast-paced environment
Desired Education:
High school or General Education Diploma
Bachelor’s Degree

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer and other office equipment
