Scope of Work:
Under the guidance of the Appraisal Team Lead, the incumbent is responsible for assisting in the coordination of the Bank’s appraisal management function to ensure its independence and conformance to regulatory requirements/guidance. Primary duties include administrative assistance with the management of the appraisal functions in the Bank.
Essential Functions (3):
Administrative Support to the Appraisal Team Lead:
Creates and manages the recordkeeping of appraisal work files
Drafts vendor correspondence and file memorandums, as needed
Manages the Appraisal Administration Process:
Provides data input and maintenance of ValuTrac order records
Creates or requests reports from ValuTrac and other platforms to assist in the review of vendor work
Assists with the overall collateral valuation process and procedures
Assists in the communication between third-party valuation vendors, lending teams, and borrowers
Manages Approved Appraiser Panels:
Communicates and coordinates with third party vendors regarding the requirements for inclusion on the Approved Appraiser Panels
Monitors licensing status of Panel members with the State of Maine Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, Board of Real Estate Appraisers
Assists the Appraisal Team Lead with the annual review of the Appraisal Panel performance
Other Duties & Responsibilities:

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of York County, ME and Seacoast, NH real estate market is preferred
Familiarity with banking regulations pertaining to real estate valuation including FDICIA, FIRREA, and Interagency Guidelines is preferred;
Displays high level of regard for trust and confidentiality
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
Displays strong written and verbal communication skills
Displays strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task to meet established deadlines
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Effectively uses analytical skills to solve technical, as well as, non-technical problems

Desired Job Experience
2 years of commercial real estate or commercial real estate lending experience is preferred
Experience in a professional, service focused, and fast-paced environment
Desired Education
High school or General Education Diploma
