Location : Hybrid- 25% travel required

Pay : $160,000-180,000 annually based on experience

We are seeking an experienced Chief People Officer (CPO) to join our leadership team, focusing on enhancing our human resources practices while aligning with our mission to provide exceptional care. We are only as good as the people we employ so the CPO role is critically important for our success.

The CPO will be responsible for leading all aspects of human resources at Kennedy Care, ensuring effective talent management, compliance, and employee engagement. This strategic role requires an innovative, thoughtful leader with a deep understanding of the human services sector and experience in implementing innovative HR practices.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that support Kennedy Care's mission and objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights on organizational development, employee relations, and workforce optimization.
  • Lead and manage shared HR services for multiple companies under management including benefits, compliance, workers’ compensation, and centralized HR functions ensuring efficiency and consistency across entities and states.
  • Collaborate with executive and company leadership to forecast workforce needs, manage succession planning, and implement strategies to meet evolving business demands.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to HR directors for each company empowering them with the tools and resources necessary to effectively recruit, retain, and staff according to sales and operational goals.
  • Partner with HR directors and company leadership to design and implement employee engagement initiatives that enhance retention and promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Oversee performance management processes to support employee development and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR practices with business needs and culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws as they pertain to staffing requirements in regulated industries, including but not limited to home care, child care, and ABA therapy services. This includes oversight of background checks, reference checks, drug screening, and other pre-employment and ongoing compliance processes.
  • Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics across entities to identify trends, address challenges and ensure strategic alignment with organizational goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • 5 years experience in executive HR leadership role for large, multi-state organization.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire HR teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful people strategies.
