About this role: This role is part of a team of specialists that provide family-centered services that support and enable families to meet their child’s individual needs through education, training and support. You will work with families in a hybrid of telehealth and in-person capacity to provide services. You will work closely with and learn from a team of specialists who are experts in children’s physical development, cognitive development, communication, social or emotional development, and adaptive development. In addition to on the job learning, KDC offers professional development activities and training necessary to maintain relevant certification/licensure in accordance with your professional discipline and EI Operational Standards. We are offering a $4k sign-on bonus for this role. In this role, you'll get to: Partner with families to identify each child’s strengths and developmental needs. Together develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Work closely with a transdisciplinary team on program planning and delivery of services for families by providing intake, screening, assessments, and ongoing service coordination according to agency and DPH standards. Provide a minimum of 25 hours of direct services for children and families Oversee case management and referral services to assigned caseload, including participation in interagency case conferences Conduct home visits to provide developmental stimulation, parent training, and support Facilitate parent/child and/or child groups to help children thrive within their family and communities Complete reports of assessments, progress reports, IFSPs, and discharge summaries Maintain appropriate communication with physicians, clinics, and community agencies participating in each child’s care Provide information to parents that enable them to make informed decisions for their child's progress This role allows for flexibility in creating your own schedule to visit with families We are looking for people who: Master’s degree in one or more of the following: ? counseling psychology, ? clinical psychology, ? developmental psychology, or ? educational psychology Must possess current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) by the Massachusetts Board of Allied Mental Health and Human Services Professionals Strong written and verbal communication Express excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Proficient with technology (i.e. computers, phone, internet...etc.) Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation The physical requirements for this role: Frequent movement within classroom including but not limited to: kneeling, bending, sitting, lifting, and positioning of students Operation of adaptive and specialized equipment Ability to lift 50 pounds alone, 51 pounds with the assistance of another person or adaptive equipment Ability to physically assist individuals as determined by their needs Ability to tolerate significant amounts of walking, standing, and sitting The required pre-employment checks for this role are: Criminal Offender Record information (CORI) check Public Driving Record check Copy of Physical Copy of Transcripts Copy of TB Test Copy of Hep B immunization OR Hep B Declination form The interview process for this role includes: a brief phone screen with Talent Acquisition; a phone interview with the hiring manager; 1-2 team interviews; and a 2 hour experiential ride-along to see a day in the life.
