Drinking Water Process Lead Engineer
Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Drinking Water Process Lead Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert in drinking water quality and treatment for clients and project teams across the firm. This role is ideal for a candidate with a broad understanding of drinking water treatment technologies and regulations, combined with a passion for mentoring and developing the skills of mid-level professionals in water treatment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in municipal drinking water treatment, water reuse, and advanced water purification, including evaluating treatment processes, selecting appropriate methods, conducting preliminary engineering studies, and optimizing operations.
- Support client service managers and business development efforts by serving as a subject matter expert in meetings and project interviews, both in-person and virtual.
- Participate in project pursuits and interviews, contributing to treatment process innovations, technical approaches, and scope items.
- Guide, mentor, and lead process design in feasibility studies, facility plans, and pilot testing for complex water projects.
- Oversee and / or contribute to preliminary design, including preparing basis of design reports, preliminary engineering drawings, and specifications for complex projects.
- Develop and / or provide quality control for process flow diagrams, design criteria, and process and instrumentation diagrams.
- Evaluate performance and optimize operations of existing water treatment facilities.
- Actively engage in professional organizations, presenting technical materials at regional and national conferences.
- Collaborate with the Applied Research Group on research projects related to water quality and treatment processes.
- Work with private-sector water treatment teams on projects related to industrial water quality and treatment processes.
