Drinking Water Process Lead EngineerKennedy Jenks is seeking a Drinking Water Process Lead Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert in drinking water quality and treatment for clients and project teams across the firm. If you are an experienced drinking water engineer who enjoys mentoring and serving clients in the water sector, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical expertise in municipal drinking water treatment, water reuse, and advanced water purification, including evaluating treatment processes, selecting appropriate methods, conducting preliminary engineering studies, and optimizing operations.Support client service managers and business development efforts by serving as a subject matter expert in meetings and project interviews, both in-person and virtual.Participate in project pursuits and interviews, contributing to treatment process innovations, technical approaches, and scope items.Guide, mentor, and lead process design in feasibility studies, facility plans, and pilot testing for complex water projects.Oversee and / or contribute to preliminary design, including preparing basis of design reports, preliminary engineering drawings, and specifications for complex projects.Develop and / or provide quality control for process flow diagrams, design criteria, and process and instrumentation diagrams.Evaluate performance and optimize operations of existing water treatment facilities.Actively engage in professional organizations, presenting technical materials at regional and national conferences.Collaborate with the Applied Research Group on research projects related to water quality and treatment processes.Work with private-sector water treatment teams on projects related to industrial water quality and treatment processes.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related scientific discipline is required; a Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.15 years of experience in drinking water treatment engineering.Professional Engineer (PE) license is required; licensure in one or multiple states (CA, CO, FL, HI, OR, TX, VA, WA) is preferred.Strong communication skills, with the ability to relay technical information effectively to clients and teams.Proficiency in reading and interpreting professional journals, technical procedures, government regulations, reports, and design documents.Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.Commitment to mentoring and developing staff in water quality and treatment processes.Work EnvironmentKennedy Jenks supports a healthy work-life balance and utilizes a hybrid model of home and office work to empower our team members to thrive and achieve their full potential.Compensation and BenefitsSalary Range : $140,000 to $180,000, based on education, experience, qualifications, licensure / certifications, and location.Benefits Summary : Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401k; bonus opportunities; tuition reimbursement; professional registration support; a competitive PTO and holiday plan; and other benefits and programs.#LI-hybridJobFamilyTechnical Professional - CoPPayTypeSalaryEducationLevelBachelor’s DegreeHiringMinRate140000HiringMaxRate180000
