What are the responsibilities and job description for the Eligibility Assessment Officers position at Kennedy Services?
IMMEDIATE opportunity to join the efforts of a state initiative. The Eligibility Assessment Officer is responsible for determining eligibility for MTA Mobility paratransit services under the Americans with Disability Act. This position will review applications, conduct interviews, perform cognitive and/or functional assessments to make a supported determination on eligibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews applications & professional documentation
Conducts interviews and functional and/or cognitive assessments
Documents information relevant to determining eligibility
Determines applicant eligibility
Follow all Certification Office Operations Manual processes and procedures
Provide feedback and recommendations on improving operations and the applicant’s experience
REQUIREMENTS:
Possess a bachelor’s degree in Human and Social Services, Rehabilitation, Behavioral Health Services, or an ancillary healthcare profession
Possess familiarity with ADA regulations and sensitivity to issues relating to disabled and elderly persons
