Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator – Entry Level
About the Job:
Welcome to Kennedy Tank and Manufacturing Company – an experienced source of custom tanks, pressure vessels heat exchangers, field construction and repair, and many other related products and services. We are looking to expand our Environmental, Health, and Safety team by hiring a HSE Coordinator. The HSE Coordinator is an entry-level position and is responsible for assisting in job site safety programs along with overseeing onsite environmental and sustainability programs. The Position:
· Travel to customer locations and conduct inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations
· Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations for corrective actions
· Assist with injury and near-miss investigations and recommend appropriate future mitigation techniques
· Instruct training sessions on occupational Safety and Environmental regulations
· Oversee environmental program including Air, Water, and Waste in accordance with all EPA, State, and Local laws and regulations
· Up to 50%-day travel
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Health, or a related field
· 0 – 3 years of experience in EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) or related field (will accept education/internship as experience)
· Knowledge in OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, and EPA rules and regulations
· Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail
· Certification in CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30 - General and Construction
· Experience in conducting inspections and investigations
· Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement
· Strong communication skills (enjoys face-to-face interaction) and the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences
· Ability to fabricate training materials and deliver training sessions on environmental health topics
· Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights
· Must be able to work in loud, cold, and hot environments
