Your Role & Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Optometric Technicians, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational efficiency.
- Set performance goals aligned with Kennedy Vision Health Center’s strategic vision and Traction EOS principles.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
- Ensure team members receive ongoing training and professional development to maintain top-tier expertise.
- Manage scheduling, PTO requests, and payroll-related tasks efficiently to optimize clinic workflow.
Patient Care & Clinical Operations
- Ensure seamless patient flow, from pre-testing to optometrist handoff, enhancing the overall experience.
- Accurately perform and document diagnostic testing, including retinal imaging, OCT, visual fields, and tonometry.
- Liaison between patients and doctors, answering questions, providing recommendations, and supporting follow-up care.
- Oversee contact lens services, including fittings, training, and education on lens care.
- Track and maintain exam room supplies and inventory management, ensuring operational readiness.
Process Optimization & Compliance
- Drive efficiency improvements by optimizing workflows and leveraging technology.
- Uphold compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies, ensuring a safe and professional clinical environment.
- Attend and actively contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly leadership meetings, following EOS structures.
- Champion patient education and engagement, ensuring they understand their eye health and treatment options.
What We’re Looking For:
- Leadership & Mentorship: Experience leading a team and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth.
- Optometric Expertise: Strong knowledge of eye health, contact lenses, and diagnostic testing.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to operate, maintain, and train others on manual and automated lensometers, OCT, visual field analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Exceptional Communication: Ability to clearly educate patients, collaborate with doctors, and train technicians.
- Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining a patient-first approach.
