Kennedy Jenks is seeking an ambitious and service-oriented Project Engineer to join one of KJ's largest and fastest growing markets! As a Project Engineer you will play a key role in our water / wastewater practice, performing design work and acting as a lead on projects while working in a multi-disciplined team of project engineers and managers. Projects include a variety of water, wastewater, recycled water, utility infrastructure and treatment process improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and analysis : Prepare detailed design, specifications and drawings. Design calculations with support of senior team. Assist the Project Manager where needed.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Write technical reports and maintain accurate project records, reports and documentation.
  • Project management : Support projects from conception through construction coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams. Lead small projects and attend both internal and external meetings where necessary.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related scientific discipline required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain PE within 6 months of hire.
  • 4-8 years of water / wastewater engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in various software including AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil3D, and Microsoft Products.
  • Ability to interact professionally internally and externally, analyze technical documents, and communicate effectively.

    Kennedy Jenks offers full-time positions while recognizing that individual circumstances vary. We are pleased to accommodate part-time schedules of 32-36 hours per week for those who require flexibility.

    Salary range : for this position is anticipated to be $90,000 to $130,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure / certifications and geographic location.
