Kennelwood Pet Resorts is looking for a Maintenance Technician to be a part of a growing industry leader pet care business. This role will support Kennelwood Pet Resorts through building maintenance as well as cleaning duties in order to provide an exceptional facility for our pets and employees. This Maintenance Technician will be involved in support functions such as general upkeep of facilities as well as assisting the Site Services manager on special projects related to remodels and new store openings ensuring that the locations are safe and ready for daily operations!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing multiple repair and maintenance tasks throughout the day including carpentry work, electrical, plumbing, painting, general facility repairs
- Install drywall, tape, mud, and paint independently
- Complete light framing as needed
- Complete general plumbing repairs such as repairing leaking faucets, toilets, etc.
- Keep properties clean and in good condition
- Use work orders to track department assignments and progress
- Follow planned maintenance schedule as directed
- Use detailed job list to complete and track status of job assignments.
- Conduct regular site inspections
- Make minor repairs to business equipment (tables, desks, etc.) as directed
- Perform light maintenance such as checking and repairing lighting needs, repairing dryer motors/brushes, etc.
- Assisting in group projects as directed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with project demands, requirements
- Interpersonal skills
- Accepts direction
- Previous Electrical, Plumbing and Carpentry skills preferred
- Good time management skills
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working around pet hair and dander
