Pay: $12.00 – $14.00 per hour

Job Summary

Wyndham Garden New Orleans Airport is looking for a responsible, detail-oriented Housekeeping Inspector to support the housekeeping team by ensuring rooms meet cleanliness and quality standards before guest check-in. This role also includes the important task of collecting and distributing digital tips left by guests for housekeeping staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms and public areas after cleaning to ensure they meet hotel cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Provide immediate feedback to room attendants and report recurring issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Ensure all assigned rooms are ready for guest arrival according to check-in timeframes.
• Report maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of inspected rooms and ensure quality standards are upheld daily.
• Manage and document digital tips left by guests for housekeeping staff; ensure timely and fair distribution to team members.
• Assist in training new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with the Front Desk to report room status and prioritize rush requests.
• Monitor and restock housekeeping closets and carts as needed.
• Support deep-cleaning and special projects during low occupancy periods.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation protocols, ensuring OSHA and hotel policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
• Experience:
• 1 year of hotel housekeeping experience (Preferred)
• Previous inspection or team lead experience is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable using mobile devices or basic apps to manage tip tracking and room status
• Ability to walk, stand, and bend for extended periods; capable of lifting up to 25 lbs

Work Schedule

• 8-hour shift
• Must be available on weekends and holidays as needed
