Job Description
Job duties include, but are not limited to :
Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications
We’re looking for :
- An experienced Lead Veterinary assistant or technician. RVT preferred.
- Minimum two-years’ experience as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician.
- A strong leader with experience managing a team of veterinary assistants and veterinary technicians.
- Experience in exam rooms, treatment / ICU area, surgery, dentals and their associated technical skills are a must.
- Ability to create, monitor, and maintain detailed / accurate patient records.
- Proactive mindset, with a strong ability to anticipate our doctors' needs.
- An ability to effectively educate our clients about their pet’s health.
- Effective Communication Skills are Paramount
- Ability / Desire to Practice Stress-Free Pet Care
- Empathy and compassion for our patients and their owners is a must.
- We prefer a Registered or Licensed Veterinary Technician, however, a Veterinary Assistant with extensive experience and appropriate skill sets will be considered.
