Job Description
To perform timely, safe, and efficient Pm services and repairs that meet and exceed DOT and Kennesaw Transportations standards.
Responsibilities
- To perform diagnostic tests, utilize appropriate resources, such as:
- The parts manual and computer
- Service bulletins and other resources to research problems
- Determine the most effective and efficient method for repair and locate parts for routine maintenance procedures and determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems.
- To perform preventive maintenance services to trucks and company equipment as outlined in Standard Services, including but not limited to:
- Changing oil and filters, fuel filters, air filters
- Servicing the DEF after-treatment system
- Cabin filters
- Performing a full dot inspection of all components at every service interval.
- To repair/replace malfunctioning components, including but not limited to:
- Brakes
- Drive line
- Air compressor and complete air system
- Cooling system
- After treatment system and DEF system
- Steering components including adjust steering systems (alignment of both steer axel and drive axels)
- Lighting system and wiring
- MVAC system
- To replace worn-out/faulty parts with OEM or sufficient aftermarket replacement parts.
- To use computers to document:
- Work order details within the Company’s internal order and billing program
- Create repair orders and correctly log hours, preventive services, and parts used.
- Use effective interpersonal skills to maintain:
- Positive working relationships with team members
- Kennesaw Transportation personnel
- External vendors
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and take appropriate actions, recommend process changes, and initiate improvements. Contribute to the shop’s goals, leadership team, and Company.
- Abide by all Company policies and safety rules and assist in maintaining a clean, safe work environment and organized workspace that meets and exceeds OSHA and Kennesaw Transportations standards and expectations.

Experience
- Diesel Engine Repair: 2-3 years (Preferred)
- Mechanical Knowledge: 2-3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification
- Certification (Preferred)
