The Kennett School District seeks applicants for a Spanish teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaches content and skills in Spanish language, literature, composition, and reading, utilizing course of study adopted by the Board of Education and other appropriate learning outcomes.
- Instructs students in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district.
- Adapts Spanish material and methods, and implements technology to develop relevant assignments that guide and challenge learners.
- Provides opportunities for individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
- Develops standards for critical analysis through discussions and activities, based on a variety of technology.
- Encourages students to think independently and to express original ideas.
- Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to provide an orderly, productive classroom environment.
- Evaluates each student’s progress in reference to knowledge and skills associated with communication arts.
- Maintains professional competence through professional development.
