Job Overview:
As a Private Country Club Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to club members and guests in a sophisticated and exclusive environment. You will create and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, and uphold the club's standards of professionalism and hospitality.
Responsibilities:
- Beverage Preparation and Service:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and specialty drinks, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Provide personalized service to club members and guests, catering to their preferences and ensuring satisfaction with each drink served.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the club's beverage offerings, including featured wines, seasonal cocktails, and specialty spirits.
- Customer Service:
- Greet club members and guests in a warm and friendly manner, anticipating their needs and providing attentive service throughout their visit.
- Engage with customers in a professional and courteous manner, offering recommendations, answering questions, and addressing any concerns or special requests.
- Handle complaints or issues promptly and courteously, escalating to management if necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Bar Operations:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including bar tops, equipment, glassware, and supplies, in accordance with health and sanitation standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages, garnishes, and supplies, and replenish as needed to ensure efficient operation of the bar.
- Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices, including verifying the age of guests and refusing service to intoxicated individuals.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other staff members, including servers, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the club.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate beverage orders, prioritize tasks, and maintain a cohesive team environment.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all club policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to alcohol service, safety, and sanitation.
- Maintain knowledge of and compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or private club preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of cocktail preparation techniques, wine service, and beverage pairings.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and professionalism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with club members and guests.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) preferred.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
