Advisory / Accounting Intern Benefits

- Learn to understand and effectively use current tax and accounting software applications like QuickBooks

- Utilize educational knowledge and experience to perform numerous accounting-related duties such as journal entries, payroll, and reconciliation services
- Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive, and professional manner
- Respond to inquiries from clients and work with clients to gather necessary information for the completion of required documents
- Gain a deep understanding of the three core financial statements
- Prepare diligent notes during advisory meetings and professionally follow-up afterwards
- Research tax-related issues (tax season only)
- Perform a limited number of tax return interviews as needed (tax season only)
- Prepare individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns and projections in accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders (tax season only)
- Pursuing a degree in accounting (completion of corporate or individual taxation class is preferred)
- Completion of 2 accounting classes and a finance class preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office & Google Applications
- Ideally working towards eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation (150 credits)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire
- Ability to think independently and make good decisions based on education and experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and staff
- Ability to prioritize work, follow through on requests, take initiative, and meet deadlines
- Values & respects the confidentiality of the client
- Strong desire to learn and improve business acumen
Salary : $15 - $20
