Position Overview
Kenny Seng Construction is seeking a hardworking and reliable General Laborer to assist with site preparation, excavation, and concrete-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, a willingness to learn on the job and to be an example of KSC’s mission and core values.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, digging, and moving materials.
- Utilize basic tools, including shovels, trowels, screeds, and hammers.
- Smooth, level, and finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
- Follow site plans and supervisor instructions to meet project specifications.
- Maintain and properly store tools and equipment.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Basic understanding of construction processes.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Prolonged periods of bending, kneeling, stooping, and standing.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Work Environment
- Exposure to loud noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
- May require overtime, weekend work, and occasional out-of-town travel.
